5 days/4 nights

From Salta, we will travel through the Quebrada de las Conchas, arriving in Cafayate, at 1,660 meters of altitude. We will visit a few "bodegas" in Cafayate. We drive up the Calchaquí valley via the Quebrada de Flechas, spending the night in the Colomé "bodega". We will see the towns of Angastaco, Molinos, Seclantas and Cachi. We return to Salta by way of the Los Cardones National Park and the Cuesta del Obispo. In Salta we will visit the Cerro San Bernardo, the historic center, churches, and appreciate its cuisine.

After our transfer from the airport to the hotel, we hold a briefing session, where we will discuss the most important aspects of our trip. The remaining part of the day is free. We suggest walking the city center (Plaza 9 de Julio), the San Bernardo hill, the wide variety of handicrafts and the many gastronomic choices. Next morning, after breakfast, our adventure trip begins.

Day 1:

Salta -> Cafayate

Distance traveled: 200 km in 5 hours

From Salta, we will drive to Cafayate via the Quebrada de las Conchas, with its splendid rock formations, a gift from nature. In Cafayate, besides the "bodegas", there are many opportunities for fine dining and a large choice of handicrafts.

Day 2:

Cafayate -> Colomé

Distance traveled: 140 km in 4 hours

From Cafayate we will proceed to Cachi via the Calchaquí valley, getting to know the Quebrada de Flechas, amongst others, and enjoying its beautiful scenery and rocks sculpted by nature. We will spend the night in the Colomé "bodega", which offers us a luxury hotel and art museum.

Day 3:

Colomé -> Cachi

Distance traveled: 90 km in 4 hours

From Colomé we will follow the Calchaquí valley to the town of Cachi, at 2,200 meters of altitude. In Cachi we recommend a visit to the archaeological museum.

Day 4:

Cachi -> Salta

Distance traveled: 200 km in 6 hours

Included: Breakfast,Lunch, Lodging in Hotel Salta

From Cachi we will leave the Calchaquí valley, climbing to the Los Cardones National Park, with its uncountable cacti of the Trichocereus genus, that resemble guardians of the Altiplano. We will drive along the Tin Tin Stretch, on our way to the Piedra del Molino, at 3,300 meters of altitude, before descending the Cordillera via the fantastic Cuesta del Obispo.

Day 5:

Salta

Distance traveled: 80 km in 5 hours

Included: Breakfast

In Salta we will go to the 'Cerro San Bernardo', which offers a spectacular view of the city and the Lerma Valley. The rich 'salteña' culture includes churches, museums, handicrafts and the fine northern Argentinian cuisine.
